Effects of ferulic acid esterase-producing L. plantarum A1 inoculation in alfalfa silage on the population of total bacteria, protozoa, fungi, methanogens, Ruminococcus albus, Ruminococcus flavefaciens and Fibrobacter succinogenes (log10 copy number of the target genes/mL) in in vitro rumen cultures at 48 h. Treatment: FM = fresh material; CON = control (no additives); Lp A1 = silage inoculated with L. plantarum A1; Lp MTD/1 = silage inoculated with L. plantarum MTD/1.
