The expression levels of DEGs related to lipid biosynthesis determined by qPCR in fast- (AA) and slow-growing (BJY) chickens. These genes are all involved in fatty acid biosynthesis, preadipocyte differentiation, or triglyceride biosynthesis. All of these DEGs were significantly (P < 0.01 or P < 0.05) more highly expressed in AA chickens than in BJY chickens. Data are presented as mean ± SEM (n = 6)
