Inhibition of cellular oxidative stress by dietary small peptides in the small intestine. The small peptides, which are supplemented to the diets of animals (particularly young animals), can reduce the production of oxidants by the small intestine and enhance the removal of the oxidants, leading to a decrease in their intracellular concentrations and alleviating oxidative stress.
