Heat stress was imposed during the middle third of pregnancy [141], the final two-thirds of pregnancy [127, 134], the last third of pregnancy [128, 133, 135] or the entirety of pregnancy [26, 136]. Paired symbols show actual birthweight and survival data from normothermic (21–27 °C, blue symbols) and hyperthermic pregnancies (continuous at 32 °C, orange symbols) in comparably-fed ewes [127]
