Modulation of nutrient transporters in the chicken gut under heat stress. The expression of nutrient transporter genes such as SGLT, GLUT, and FABP is decreased while the expression of the EAAT gene is increased when chickens are exposed to heat stress. The uptake of nutrients is affected by their respective transporters under heat stress. The diagram is drawn based on the articles [5, 9].
