Anti-inflammatory effects of capric acid feed additive in immunosuppressed miniature pigs. The levels of a TNF-α and b IL-6 pro-inflammatory cytokines in serum were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Cyclophosphamide (−) and capric acid (−) indicates the negative control group (immunocompetent pigs), cyclophosphamide (+) and capric acid (−) indicates immunosuppressed pigs that were not given capric acid feed additive, and cyclophosphamide (+) and capric acid (+) indicates immunosuppressed pigs that were given capric acid feed additive.
