H-FABP protein expression in cardiac, chest and leg muscle in TYC and HTBC. Cardiac, chest and leg muscles were collected from TYC at 70 d and HTBC at 120 d. H-FABP protein expression in cardiac (a), chest (b) and leg (c) muscles was detected by western blot. Representative panels of H-FABP protein are shown. Expression of β-actin was measured as an internal control. The intensities of H-FABP and β-actin bands were determined using the Quantity One software package. The results are presented as the ratio of the H-FABP band intensity to the β-actin band intensity. The data are presented as the mean ± SEM for each tissue (n = 4 per group).
